About The Studio

83 Oranges® by Uma Gokhale

Born in the United States and spending her early childhood there, she was surrounded by a culture of individuality and self-expression. Later moving to the colorful and culturally rich landscapes of India, she absorbed its intricate patterns, vivid hues, and tropical beauty. This unique cross-cultural journey shapes her distinctive style—an uplifting fusion of bold colors, tropical motifs, and modern minimalism using a unique blend of handmade drawings + graphic art.

My Work.

art + design

Before acting on a dream and a leap of faith, Uma worked as a graphic, surface & web designer for several multinational companies, with an experience of over 18 years in this industry. In 2014, her passion became her career when she founded her 83 Oranges® studio. Her art & custom design endeavor soon eclipsed her 9-5 job and she sold over 1 million prints worldwide.

We’re always excited to collaborate remotely worldwide & in-person in Mumbai or Pune. We also team up with architects & interior designers across the globe with exclusive trade pricing & custom options. Our goal is to keep learning & doing it at the forefront, along with other creatives, mutually exchanging ideas & delivering design that we’re proud of and that keeps us intrigued.
